Target Audience

The target audience will include gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Statement of Need

The educational goal of this series is to train an estimated 969 gastroenterologists, primary care physicians (PCPs), nurse practitioners and physician assistants on emerging advances in the management of PBC via 57 meetings throughout the United States.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Develop an evidence-based treatment regimen using the latest clinical evidence
  • Explain the current and emerging treatment options for patients with PBC
  • Recognize and communicate the risks and benefits of PBC therapy
  • Identify barriers to the optimal management of patients with PBC

    This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and the Chronic Liver Disease Foundation. The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
